Where to Stay
The Oasis at Orange Beach: A Resort Guide for Groups Staying at Oasis Unit 2201
By Avara Stays · Updated November 2, 2026

The Oasis at Orange Beach is a Gulf-front resort tower on Perdido Beach Boulevard, and our Oasis Unit 2201 is a 4-bedroom corner condo inside it for up to 10 guests. A group gets the most from it with a little planning: two cars, not five; wristbands collected before the front desk closes; luggage sent up in waves. This guide gathers what the resort’s homeowners association, the City of Orange Beach and the beach service publish, so your group arrives knowing how everything works.
The Oasis at a glance
The Oasis at Orange Beach, formerly Phoenix West II, stands at 23450 Perdido Beach Blvd. The homeowners association describes it as a Gulf-front condominium complex of privately owned 3- and 4-bedroom condos, each managed by its own owner or rental company, with the beach a boardwalk away. Oasis Unit 2201 is ours, booked directly with us.
| Oasis Unit 2201 | |

Home details are from the owner’s listing. The Oasis is not set up as a hotel, so there is no daily housekeeping; we stock one starter round of toiletries, paper goods and detergent.
Pools, the lazy river and the rest of the resort
Most of what a group will use sits on the ground floor, between the tower and the beach. The HOA’s amenities page lists it floor by floor:
| Where | What the HOA lists |
|---|---|
| Ground floor | Main outdoor pool; lazy river and slide; indoor heated pool with four hot tubs nearby; kids’ splash pad; adults-only pool and sun deck lounge; Oasis Beachside Café & Bar; souvenir shop; covered pavilion with charcoal grills; tennis, basketball and pickleball courts; putting green; arcade, cornhole and ping pong |
| 2nd floor | Main lobby and HOA front desk (parking, wristbands and amenity equipment), security, checkers and chess tables |
| 3rd floor | Upstairs lobby sitting and business area, poker tables |
| 14th floor | Men’s and women’s saunas and two hot tubs |
| 15th floor | Fitness center |
Hours worth knowing
- Pools, lazy river and courts: the HOA’s property facts put the ground-floor amenities at 8 AM to 11 PM. The lazy river slide closes at 8:30 PM, and from May to November the courts close at 9 PM for sea turtle nesting season.
- Fitness center and the 14th-floor spa level: 5 AM to 11 PM. The HOA sets its own age rules for these floors and for the adults-only pool, where bar staff check ID, so read its property facts before you split up the group.
- Oasis Beachside Café & Bar: 12 PM to 8 PM daily, for current Oasis guests only, with online ordering. It is closed November 1 to 20 and all of December.
For a group, the small rules matter
- Don’t save chairs. Towels and personal items can’t hold loungers or spaces at the pools, grill area or café; unattended items go to lost and found or are thrown away.
- Grill night: the charcoal grills sit under a covered pavilion, and the front desk lends grill carts. The building’s luggage carts are for loading and unloading only, so return them promptly.
- Keep it easy on the neighbors: quiet hours run 10 PM to 9 AM, personal speakers and boomboxes aren’t allowed on the property, there is no glass outside the condos, and nothing hangs over a balcony railing: no towels, flags or lights.
- Kids: the HOA asks riders to go down the slide feet first, and the hallways aren’t for play.
- Smoke-free: smoking and vaping are allowed only in three marked areas on the property, and our condo is non-smoking.
Children are welcome at Oasis Unit 2201. The splash pad, lazy river and slide are the stars, and the indoor heated pool and arcade cover a rainy afternoon.
Arriving with a group: parking, wristbands and elevators
Parking: plan on two cars
- Two vehicles. Oasis Unit 2201 allows 2 vehicles with HOA parking passes, bought through The Oasis HOA before you arrive. We send the registration link in your check-in email. If your group is driving in from several cities, agree a carpool plan early.
- Your plate is your pass. Since September 15, 2026 the HOA has registered every vehicle by license plate. Pull straight into a space so the rear plate shows (back in only if you also have a front plate). The HOA says unregistered vehicles are subject to booting or towing at the owner’s expense, starting at $200.
- Where to park. The garage is covered. Guests park on deck levels 2 to 12; the ground level is for vehicles management has approved.
- What can’t come. Oversized vehicles, trailers, boats, RVs, campers and ATVs can’t park on the property. Electric vehicles can’t be charged on site, and e-bikes stay on the ground-level bike rack, not in the building or garage.
- Rental cars. The HOA’s parking portal lets you pay first and add a rental car’s plate later, before you arrive.
Check-in day
- Before you leave home: the reservation holder digitally signs the HOA’s rules and registers the vehicles, which the HOA says makes check-in quicker.
- Arrive and unload: check-in at Oasis Unit 2201 is 4:00 PM. If the unit is ready, the HOA says you can unload and settle in first.
- Collect wristbands: everyone needs an HOA wristband on the property at all times. Pick them up at the front desk in the 2nd-floor main lobby, open 9 AM to 6 PM Sunday to Wednesday and 9 AM to 7 PM Thursday to Saturday, so plan your arrival before it closes.
Elevators
Oasis Unit 2201 is in a resort tower, so every trip to the pool or beach starts with an elevator. Two guests’ Airbnb reviews from summer 2026 mentioned long elevator waits on check-in and check-out days. Send luggage up in waves, keep one person with the bags in the lobby, and leave extra time on departure morning. The HOA asks guests not to hold elevator doors open for long or press multiple buttons, which it says causes breakdowns, and to know the nearest stairwell in case the elevators are shut down. Trash chutes are at the west end of each floor.
The beach at The Oasis
- Getting there: a boardwalk leads from the resort to the sand, with shower stations for rinsing off.
- Chairs and umbrellas: the HOA partners with Ike’s Beach Service, which runs an on-site rental service at The Oasis from 9 AM to 5 PM. Book online by 3 PM the day before; same-day rentals go through the attendant. Looking toward the water, rental chairs are to the left of the boardwalk and guests’ own setups are to the right, and tents and canopies have their own area. Ike’s also rents beach wheelchairs.
- Lifeguards: Orange Beach Surf Rescue lists Tower 6 at Phoenix West II / The Oasis among its seven towers. Towers are staffed March 1 to October 31: 10 AM to 6 PM in spring and fall, and 10 AM to 8 PM from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with fewer guards after 6 PM. From November to February no lifeguards are on duty.
- Flags: yellow means moderate surf or currents, purple means dangerous marine life, red means high surf or strong currents, and double red means the water is closed. The tourism board notes it is illegal to enter the Gulf under double red flags in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. The city posts a daily beach report.
- Orange Beach rules: under Leave Only Footprints, tents can be no larger than 12 by 12 feet, and anything over 7 feet wide or 4 feet tall goes behind the marker posts. Everything left on the beach an hour after sunset is removed. No pets, glass, fires or grills, fireworks, drones or loud music on the sand, holes no deeper than 12 inches, and stay off the dunes. Our beach rules guide compares the two cities.
- Sea turtles: nesting season runs May 1 to October 31 under the city’s lighting ordinance. Close the blinds at night, skip flashlights and flash photos on the beach, and keep your distance from marked nests, as the Share the Beach program asks.
Bigger than 10? Pair Oasis with the Beachfront Duplex
Oasis Unit 2201 sleeps 10. For a larger group, our Beachfront Duplex in Gulf Shores sleeps 27: a beachfront duplex of two side-by-side homes, each with its own entrance, kitchen and living room, with 8 bedrooms and 6 full baths and a beachside pool. The two homes are about 6 miles, or roughly 13 minutes, apart by car with light traffic, so up to 37 can stay across both. Each home is booked separately. Many groups put the relatives who want the resort pools and a private bath for every bedroom at Oasis, and the rest at the duplex. Our beachfront duplex guide and family reunion guide cover how that works, and Gulf Shores vs. Orange Beach compares the two towns.
